Instructor charged with molestation

Francisco "Frank" Jose Drummond, 41, of Modesto was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on felony charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

POSTED August 29, 2009 11:48 a.m.
An instructor at Modesto Junior College was arrested Friday on the suspicion that he molested two teenage girls.
Francisco “Frank” Jose Drummond, 41, of Modesto was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on felony charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. His bail was set at $75,000, said Modesto Police Sgt. Brian Findlen.
The allegations against Drummond were raised by a 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, both of whom are friends with the suspect’s teenage daughter, Findlen said.
Detectives believe the girls were assaulted separately, in the month of August, at the suspect’s home in the 900 block of Wellesley Drive in Modesto.
The investigation suggests that the suspect touched each of the girls in a sexual nature while at the home, Findlen said. Specific details of the individual assaults were not disclosed at the request of the victims and their parents.
Drummond was arrested without incident early Friday morning at Modesto Junior College. Drummond is currently employed as an instructor at Modesto Junior College and recently resigned as a reserve police officer at the Ripon Police Department. He worked previously for the Patterson Police Department and the Modesto Police Department. Findlen said.
