Burglary arrests

POSTED September 4, 2009 11:23 p.m.
A traffic stop on a vehicle that matched one seen leaving a burglary led to the arrest of four people and the recovery of stolen property, including a car, according to the Turlock Police Department.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, the police department received a report of a residential burglary in the 200 block of N. Quincy Road. Around 11 p.m., officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
Two of the passengers in the vehicle were on parole and were subject to searches, according to the police report. The search turned up evidence that linked the passengers — John Allen, 44, and Roberta Bolton, 37, and the driver, Amanda Sams, 31 — to the burglary, according to the police report.
Police also found property in the back seat of the vehicle that had been taken in a prior burglary.
The police report stated that when Bolton got out of the car she dropped a syringe on the ground.
Officers conducted a follow-up search at one of the parolee’s residence in the 2600 block of East Avenue. At the residence officers found a stolen vehicle in the backyard.
Also at the house was Donna Davis, 35, who had a weapons violation warrant for her arrest. Davis was also in possession of methamphetamine, according to the police report. All four were taken into custody. Sams was booked on burglary. Allen was booked on possession of stolen property and parole violation. Bolton was booked on possession of a syringe and parole violation. Davis was booked on the warrant and possession of methamphetamine.
