POSTED October 14, 2011 6:52 p.m.

After impressive performances, three of the Cal State Stanislaus fall sport programs sit in various regional rankings this week.
The women's cross country team cracked into the West Region Top 10 of the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association. After placing third behind two Division I programs at last week’s San Francisco State Invitational in Golden Gate Park, the Warriors are ranked ninth.

With three consecutive wins, the Stanislaus men’s soccer team moved up to No. 7 in the West Region of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. The Warriors moved past California Collegiate Athletic Association foes Sonoma State and Chico State, as they were 8-3-1 overall before Friday’s conference match at Cal Poly Pomona.
The women's soccer team remained in the NSCAA’s West Region Top 10, sitting in a three-way tie for ninth with conference opponents Cal State San Bernardino and Chico State.

Last week, the Warriors forced a 0-0 tie with UC San Diego, which was ranked second in the nation before falling to the No. 6 position after the thrilling match.
