Mr. Cantatore, how long have you worked/lived in Turlock? The budget process (you referenced in your June 13 opinion piece, “Glass half full even if city coffers empty) may be arcane but it certainly hasn’t ever been as difficult as it has been this year.
I submit that it isn’t simply an issue of reduced funding, it is also due to Mr. Howze’s desire to micro-manage the entire city. His adopted role is that of autocrat, not elected official.
And what do I do for my city? I currently sit on two volunteer boards overseeing the SR 165 bypass and the TUSD Bonds oversight committee.
