Denair coaching legend dies at 89

Dave Morgan, one of the most successful boys basketball coaches in state history who guided Denair High to a section title in 1990, died on Monday. He was 89.
He had 832 wins over 52 seasons in California and Ohio. He captured 22 league titles during his career, in addition to two Northern California Division V runner-up finishes and a section title with Denair. He twice came out of retirement, including coaching Delhi in the 2001-02 season at age 82.
