St. Patrick’s Day Events

POSTED March 16, 2012 10:53 p.m.

Wellington’s Pub and Restaurant

Turlock’s Wellington’s Station, located at 10 E. Main St., will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by delivering ample portions of corned beef and cabbage, fish ‘n chips and other hearty Irish favorites; offering Irish whiskey specials and pouring the perfect pints of Guinness stout as well as green beer; and offering entertainment including Irish dancing, traditional Irish music performed at intervals during the day and night by Van Diemen’s Irish Band and bagpiper Phil McGill. The funfest will commence at 11 a.m. and continue until the wee hours of the following morning. There is no cover charge.

Wellington’s also will host a Relay for Life fundraiser with proceeds from the sale of strings of green shamrock beads going to the American Cancer Society.  In addition, young Connor McGill of Modesto will be selling See’s candy bars, miniature Irish flags and lighted green necklaces to raise funds necessary to pay for a trip to England and France with People to People as a United States ambassador.
As a British pub, Wellington’s knows how to stage a proper St. Paddy’s Day celebration, with 15 imported and domestic beers on tap, a large selection of bottled brews, aged Irish whiskeys and an extensive menu that includes a plethora of Irish foods and appetizers – including specials just for this day.  This event is all ages.
