SWAT training set for Saturday

POSTED October 20, 2009 11:53 p.m.
If a train of SWAT vehicles comes rumbling down the road Saturday, there’s no need to panic.
The increased law enforcement presence expected in Turlock on Saturday is part of an annual SWAT and hostage negotiations training, which this year is hosted by the Turlock Police Department.
The multi-county training will be conducting exercises all day Saturday at the Foster Farms plant, Monte Vista Chapel, the Turlock Police Department range, and the Cilion plant in Keyes.
Participating agencies include the Turlock, Ceres, Modesto, Manteca, and Tracy police departments and the Stanislaus and Merced counties sheriff departments.
