Q: What was your favorite course in college?
A: Criminology.  I took a course quite by accident, and really liked the professor and the subject matter.  Ultimately, it led me to my career interests.

Q: What clubs and organizations were you involved with in college?
A: I worked full-time and actually didn’t have as much opportunity for activities as I would have liked.  In retrospect, I really missed out on something special.  I was able to squeeze in time, however, for participation with intramural sports and yearbook staff.

Q: What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome during your college days?
A: Staying engaged and focused on college while working full-time.

Q: What tips do you offer college students today to be successful?
A: Students should stretch themselves and try to do as much as is practically possible.  If they do this, they will gain experience and knowledge, and it will show them what they can accomplish.  Set goals and reach for them, don’t be a leaf in the wind.  They should go out and do things while they can, because college is a special time and they may never have these opportunities again.

Q: What band would you like to see perform at CSU Stanislaus?
A: I like all types of music and don’t have a preference.

Q: What was the last book you read for fun?
A: 1491 by Charles C. Mann

Q: What's your favorite Olympic sport and why?
A: The 400 and 800 races.  These races call for speed, strategy and endurance – those are also prime ingredients for success in life.

Q: What is your favorite place to eat lunch in Turlock?
A: I haven’t had a chance to eat in enough places yet to name a favorite. I’m going to try a broader representative sample before I pick one.
