Name of business: Suddenly Perfect Salon and Boutique

Type of business: Salon and boutique

Location: 2101 Geer Rd.

Hours of operation: 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday

Contact info: 667-4851

History of business: Suddenly Perfect has been a Turlock mainstay for nearly 30 years.

Throughout that time, the salon and boutique have benefitted from its Geer Road location, isolated from the hustle and bustle in its quiet development.

“We chose this place because it gives you a more peaceful, relaxing setting,” said stylist Isela Scroggins, who has been with the business for 12 years.

Many of Suddenly Perfect’s stylists grew up as customers of the salon. The transition from client to employee just made sense, according to stylist Alyce Medina, as nowhere else offered the same atmosphere.

“I came here in high school, and I always loved the salon,” Medina said.

Business specialty: Suddenly Perfect is a full-service salon, with experienced hair stylists and nail technicians.  The skilled workers draw a large base of repeat clients, with few first-time walk-ins.

It’s not just the employees that make Suddenly Perfect attractive to repeat customers, though: it’s the relaxing atmosphere, Scroggins said.

“They just get that time to really feel pampered and taken care of,” Scroggins said.

The salon also features a boutique, replete with accessories, clothing, and items for adults and children alike. The boutique just adds to the ambiance, Scroggins said, offering customers a place to shop while receiving salon services.
