Buhach Colony High became the 8th Central California Conference opponent to face Pitman High on the volleyball court this season and walk away in defeat. The Pride (8-0 CCC) hammered the Thunder on Thursday, maintaining their undefeated record with a straight set effort (25-13, 25-22, and 25-19).

Sierrah Miller and Maddy Halteman once again put in key performances for Pitman with 12 kills and 28 assists, respectively, while Janae Marable, Cami Larsen, and Kelsee Derr came up big from the service line with 2 aces apiece. Miller also contributed defensively with 12 digs, complementing Melinda Gonzalez’s defensive effort at the net that resulted in 6 blocks.

Thursday marked the fifth time Pitman has defeated a CCC opponent in straight sets. The Pride will next face second place Atwater High on Tuesday before the second cross-town matchup of the season against Turlock High on Thursday.
