Members of the department’s Street gang Unit and the Narcotic Enforcement Team arrested three men and confiscated a surplus of narcotics during the early morning raid, Modesto Police Detective Steven Stanfield said.
Investigators had developed information that the residence in the 1700 block of Tonilane was one of the main distribution points of narcotics in the West Modesto area, Stanfield said.
During the early morning search, officers found Vicoden and marijuana packaged for sales, as well as more than 6.5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine. The methamphetamine has a street value of more than $10,000, Stanfield said.
Also seized during the search was a semi-automatic handgun and more than $3,000 in cash, Stanfield said.
Arrested during the search were: Primitivo Gratton, 25, of Modesto, who resided at the raided home; Philip Fuentes, 18, of Modesto; and Jose Gutierrez, 33, of Modesto. All three were charged with multiple drug and weapon offenses.
