In 2002, Colin Kaepernick chooses to attend Pitman High, Turlock’s newest high school.

1996 — 1st year of football; Member of the Pee Wee Vikings of Turlock Youth Football

1997 — Writes 4th grade letter; States future goal of playing in the "pros" for the "niners" or "packers"

2002 —  Chooses Pitman High; Decides to attend Turlock’s newest high school

2004 — 1st CCC Football Championship

2005 — 2nd CCC Football Championship

February 2006 — Signs with Nevada; Despite numerous offers to play baseball, Kaepernick accepts the only football scholarship offered to him.

May 26, 2006 — Pitman Section Baseball; Leads Pitman High in its best season of baseball in the school’s history during his senior year, notching a Division I Sub Section Championship with a 6-3 victory over Tokay High. Kaepernick finished the season with 97 strikes, a 1.27 ERA, and only one allowed home run

Oct. 6, 2007 — Replaces Nick Graziano; Nevada v. Fresno State— Comes off the bench to replace injured starter Nick Graziano and throws for 384 yards and 4 TDs in addition to rushing for 60 yards.

Oct. 14, 2007 — First start with Nevada; Nevada v. Boise State—Nearly upsets Broncos by passing for 243 yards and 3 TDs and rushing for another 177 yards and 2 TDs. Dubbed an instant classic, the game went into four overtime periods and ended in a 69-67 loss for Nevada.

2009 — Drafted by Cubs; Drafted in the 43rd round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Chicago Cubs. Declines offer.

Nov. 26, 2010 — NCAA Record; Becomes the first player in NCAA history to pass for over 2,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 yards in 3 consecutive seasons in a 34-31 overtime victory over then unbeaten Boise State.

Jan. 9, 2011 — Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl; Defeats Boston College 20-13 in his last collegiate game at AT&T Park in San Francisco and breaks his own record to become the first Division I FBS QB to pass for more than 10,000 yards and rush for more than 4,000 yards in a career.

April 29, 2011 — Drafted by San Francisco; San Francisco trades three picks for Kaepernick who is drafted in the 2nd round as the 36th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Oct. 2, 2011 — NFL Debut; San Francisco vs Philadelphia Eagles

Sept. 30, 2012 — First NFL touchdown; 49ers vs Jets—Scores his first career TD on a 7-yard run against the New York Jets in the final minutes of a 34-0 win.

Nov. 11, 2012 — Replaces Alex Smith

Nov. 19, 2012 — First NFL start; Takes on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. Completes 16 of 23 passes for 246 yards and 2 TDs in a decisive 32-7 win and asserts himself as the future QB in San Francisco.

Dec. 9, 2012 — First time Kaepernicking; San Francisco vs Miami Dolphins game

Jan. 12, 2013 — Record breaking performance against Green Bay in Playoff game; As the youngest 49er QB to start in a playoff game, Kaepernick marks his post-season debut by setting the NFL single-game rushing record by a QB with 181 yards in a 45-31 win over Green Bay. Throws for 263 yards and becomes the third QB with 2 rushing TDs and 2 passing TDs in a post-season game. Also breaks the 49er’s single game post-season record.

Jan. 20, 2013 — NFC Championship win; In only his 9th start, Kaepernick defeats the top seeded Atlanta Falcons 28-24 and sends the 49ers to their sixth Super Bowl. Completes 16 of 21 passes for 233 yards and 1 TD in the dramatic comeback victory.
