Fellows in the Capital Fellows Program spend 10 to 11 months engaged in policymaking, public service, and preparation for a future career as they gain an in-depth knowledge of California’s government. Students also receive a monthly stipend, student loan deferments, 12 graduate units, health, vision, and dental benefits.
Applicants must be at least 20, hold a bachelor’s degree, and demonstrate an interest in state government and public service. No political experience is required.
