Maria Pimentel, 85, passed away at New Bethany Convalescent Home in Los Banos on Tuesday surrounded by her children. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial following at Turlock Memorial Park.
Maria was born in Terceira, Acores to Joao and Idalina Lourenco in 1924. She immigrated to the United States in 1967, and settled in Turlock. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  
Maria is survived by her children, Luis (Ema) Lobao of Modesto, Antonio (Mary) Lobao of Escalon, Mary (Manuel) Oliveira of Hilmar and Joe (Jayne) Lobao of Turlock; grandchildren, Armand Lobao, Michelle Kindberg, Stacey McElroy, Mark Pires, Christina Wade, Monica Lobao, Julianne Lobao, Christopher Lobao and Thomas Lobao; eight great grandchildren; siblings, LaSalete Rodrigues of Lisbon, Portugal, Luis Lourenco of Brasil and Idalina Melo of Terceira, Acores.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Pimentel.
