Memorial Day services will be held in Turlock on Monday, May 27 at Turlock Memorial Park. The memorial park is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Avenue of Flags. The day's program will begin at 9:30 a.m. with patriotic music performed by the Hilmar Community Band. Services will begin at 10 a.m.
The keynote speaker for this year's event will be Turlock High Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp instructor and USMC retired Major Kelly D. Cross. Turlock Mayor John Lazar will also speak at the Memorial Day ceremony.
The Turlock Honor Guard will be presenting the colors and Donna Hedstrom of the American Legion Auxiliary will hold a poppy ceremony in honor of all fallen servicemen and women.
Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home will host an open house following the program. The memorial park is located at 425 N. Soderquist Rd., in Turlock.

Lakewood Memorial Park will hold its annual Memorial Day ceremony at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 27. Master of Ceremonies for this year's event will be A. E. Menshew, past commander of American Legion Post 74 in Modesto and past Legion Department of California Legislative Representative.
Keynote speakers for the event include Congressman Jeff Denham, Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen, Stanislaus County Supervisor Dick Monteith and Adrian Condit, pastor of Freewill Baptist Church in Ceres.
The U.S. Naval Sea Cadets - Modesto Division will post the colors. Joe Rykert is scheduled to sing the National Anthem and bagpiper George Harcrow will perform "Amazing Grace." The veterans' auxiliaries will also lead a wreath laying ceremony.
Lakewood Memorial Park is located at 900 Santa Fe Ave., in Hughson.

The San Joaquin National Cemetery in Santa Nella will hold its Memorial Day ceremony at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. Dr. Joe Cox of the Los Banos Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts will act as Master of Ceremonies. Featured speaker will be the Honorable Allen B. Clark and a special presentation will be held with the American Indian Veterans Association of Fresno.
The San Joaquin National Cemetery is located at 32053 W. McCabe Rd., in Santa Nella.
