After winning their only two exhibition games and having a two-week break, the Stanislaus women’s basketball players will be back on the court and playing in their first regular-season contest on Friday.
The Warriors will travel to Nampa, Idaho, for two games against Great Northwest Athletic Conference. They play Northwest Nazarene at 5:15 p.m. on Friday before a 1 p.m. Saturday game with Central Washington.
Stanislaus played UC Merced, a club team, on Nov. 13 and easily won 114-32 at Warrior Arena. The Warriors are led by the likes of forward Katie Busi and guards Samantha Bertomen (of Turlock High) and Christin Gowan.
