Mrs. Ann Silva, age 79 entered into rest on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her home in Crows Landing with her family by her side.  Mrs. Silva was born in Cedros Ribeira Funda, Faial, Azores to the late Antonio Silveira Garcia and Maria Amelia Dutra.  In 1960 she married the love of her life, her late husband Gilbert A. Silva and assisted him on the family dairy in Crows Landing, as well as being a homemaker for 53 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock, Our Lady of Assumption Portuguese Choir, Levante, Grupo de Oração, Grupo Terceira Idade, Ministerio dos Doentes and a Ministerio da Eucaristia.  Mrs. Silva also was a member of Luso American Fraternal Federation Council No. 29-50 of Turlock.
Ann Silva is survived by her son, Gilbert E. Silva, and his wife Marilyn of Crows Landing; daughter Charleen Cahill and her husband Allan of Hilmar; sister Maria Alice Dutra of Watsonville; seven grandchildren – Jessica Domingos, Ashley Cahill, Trista Elmore, Cylina Silva, Gilbert A. Silva, II, Samuel A. Silva, Amelia A. Silva and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert A. Silva, on April 29, 2001 and her brother Antonio Silveira Garcia.

Main St., Turlock; Rosary, Thursday, August 22, 2013, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Rd., Turlock; Funeral Mass, Friday, August 23, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Turlock; Internment following Funeral Mass at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
