Wanda Markey

Wanda L. Markey deceased on November 2nd 2013 in her home in the company of her family members who had gathered at her request.
Wanda was the loving mother of three including the late Judith Dian Morelli of Denair and her surviving son Michael Markey of Walnut Creek and her surviving daughter Victoria Markey of San Diego. She is also survived by five grandchildren and families to include Robert Arnold Morelli of Denair, Richard Camillo Morelli of Spokane, Michelle Irene Morelli of Denair, Victoria Ingrid Cardenas of Huntington Beach and Michael Markey of Arlington, Virginia.
These surviving grandchildren also supplied her with seven loving Great Grandchildren to include Robert Axel Morelli of Waterford, Austin Amadeo Morelli currently attending Fresno State University, Arin Janet Morelli of Denair, Abigail Catherine Morelli of Denair, Vicent Camillo Morelli of Spokane, Roman Harvey Morelli of Spokane, Gianna Lanae Morelli of Spokane and Abraham Arnold Markey of Arlington, Virginia.
Mrs. Markey was highly cherished by her family as a loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Mrs. Markey was born and raised in Warsaw Indiana. She was a World War II Homemaker while Arnold Markey served in Merchant Marines in the Atlantic. They resettled in Fullerton California and raised their family while
Mr. Markey managed Southwest Steel and later Ettawanda Steel in the LA area.
Mr. Markey died in 1977 and Wanda moved to Denair living on the dairy of her Son-in-Law and Daughter Dian.
In the Turlock area she served at Emanuel Medical Center volunteering in the Gift Shop for several years.
Wanda loved cooking and serving other.  She became well known for hosting the Geography Department of San Francisco State University for nearly 30 years during their yearly agricultural tours to the valley. 
A private family service was held at the gravesite at Lakewood Memorial Park at Mrs. Markey’s request. The family recommends donations in her memory be sent to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund: Attn Donor Services, P. O Box 650309 Dallas, Tx 75265-0309
