In Shape to hire 500 personal trainers statewide

POSTED January 2, 2014 8:43 p.m.

With losing weight ranking at the top of New Year’s resolutions for 2014, Stockton-based fitness chain In-Shape Health Clubs has begun the process of hiring nearly 500 fitness professionals as the company expands its services.

Although the health clubs previously offered personal training through an unaffiliated third party provider, In-Shape Health Clubs is looking to hire hundreds of personal trainers as part of a new one-on-one and small group personal training program to be offered at its 70 facilities throughout California.

“Personal trainers help our members feel better, look better, fight disease, lose weight, and change their lives,” said Stacey O’Bryan, In-Shape’s Chief Operating Officer. “Our members have been asking for more service and a closer relationship with In-Shape and we know we’ll be able to deliver that through our new personal training program.”

The new personal trainers will join the wide variety of services the health clubs already offer their communities, including indoor and outdoor pools, group classes, and traditional cardio and weight equipment.

“In-Shape is more than just a health club — we are a place for people to improve their lives and come together in a healthy, active setting,” said Paul Rothbard, In-Shape CEO. “We are confident our personal trainers will help members reach their goals faster and more efficiently than ever before.”

In-Shape Health Clubs are currently interviewing and hiring qualified personal trainers and additional staff to accommodate growing member demand and company expansion. Local candidates interested in a personal training job can apply online at www.inshapeclubs.com/career-opportunities.
