POSTED February 27, 2014 8:05 p.m.

Andström, the folk music band from Sweden, will perform a mini concert at the Carnegie Arts Center from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tonight, followed by some traditional dancing.

The cost is $10 general admission and students and seniors are free.

CSU Stanislaus History Professor Philip Garone will discuss the environmental history of the region in the Sunday Art Lecture “California Wetlands and Waterfowl — Two Centuries of Loss and Recovery: Tales from the Central Valley.

Garone will lead a discussion on the Valley’s formerly extensive array of wetlands and the wildlife that resided in them. The photographs of Roman Loranc will serve as a visual touchstone to Garone’s lecture.

The lecture is at 2 p.m. Sunday and is free.

The Carnegie Arts Center is located at 250 N. Broadway.
