Reflecting, a series of paintings from artist Donna Wayman is currently on exhibit at the Carnegie Arts Center.
The exhibit is located in the Carnegie lobby and will be on display through July 27.
Wayman's collection highlights her interest in music, performers and classic automobiles and coincides with the upcoming opening of the Carnegie ROCKS! Exhibit of classic rock memorabilia opening to the public May 25.
Wayman, a resident of Cressey, has had her works shown in numerous venues, including in Las Vegas and Carmel and has seen her paintings reproduced into posters, T-shirts, and murals.
Her journey into the world of art began at a young age and she found it to be a comfortable avenue of expression.
"I was a very shy child and my art was my only way to communicate," Wayman writes in her biography at fineartworld.com. "It was the only thing that made me feel special. That's why I think art is so important for children. It gives them self-confidence and a way to express themselves."
Admission to the show is free. The Carnegie Arts Center is located at 250 N. Broadway. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
