The identity of the fourth individual found dead inside a Turlock home Thursday night has been confirmed as Robert Babakhan, 42.

The Turlock Police has not released any of the identities of the four individuals found dead. The department stated the victims were a white female, age 69, and three white males, ages 70, 42, and 39. They also stated the physical descriptions of the individuals matched the descriptions of the individuals known to reside at the home.

Property records indicate the home was owned by 70-year-old Sarkis Babakhan and his wife 69-year-old Rozmary Babakhan. A family friend confirmed the Babakhan’s lived there, along with their son 39-year-old son Rodney Bowman, who also went by the name of Radni Babakhan at some point.

Multiple sources, including family friends and a former teacher have confirmed the fourth individual as Robert Babakhan, who was developmentally disabled.

“Robert was such a joy to be with. Robert always had a smile and a wonderful greeting every time I saw him,” said his former teacher Marlena Mizicko.

The Babakhan family was found dead around 10 p.m. Thursday night in the 3000 block of Red Oak Court. The discovery was made by a relative who grew concerned because she had not seen or heard from anyone in the family for some time.

The individuals had been deceased for at least 24 hours prior to their discovery, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Investigators suspect the deaths were a result of a murder-suicide, though they have not stated who was murdered and who died by suicide.

The bodies were found throughout the home. The smell of gas was present in the home and the Turlock Fire Department was called out because of an element of arson, Lewis said.

Autopsies on all four individuals are expected to be completed this week, which should reveal the cause of death and which family member was responsible for the killing. The lone woman in the house was not responsible for the killings, Lewis said.
