CSU Stanislaus names new Business Administration dean

POSTED February 19, 2010 10:48 p.m.
Linda Nowak, executive director of the Wine Business Institute and professor of Marketing at Sonoma State University, has been named to the vacant deanship of the CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration.
Nowak will begin her new position March 1, replacing Interim Dean Thomas Sandman. Thomas has served as interim dean since September, when Nael Aly contentiously resigned after two years on the job.
Nowak, a member of the Sonoma State faculty since 1996, has previously served as coordinator of the Association to Advance College Schools of Business accreditation process for graduate and undergraduate programs, coordinator of the Undergraduate and Graduate programs, and department chair. She currently serves on the School of Business and Economics Executive Management Team
Nowak’s new role as dean will entail fundraising, program development, community relations and executive advisory board management.
In other news, CSU Stanislaus Vice President for Student Affairs Stacey Morgan-Foster, announced she will take a new post with the same title — but additional responsibilities — at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash. Morgan-Foster will start at EWU on April 1.
