Suzete Brasil and David Vogel, both of Turlock, are engaged to be married.
David, the son of David and Paula Vogel, and Suzete, the daughter of Antonio and Nelcina Brasil, met the summer of 2000 and have been together ever since.
Suzete attended the University of Southern California and earned her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene. She is currently pursuing her M.S. degree in Gerontology. She works as a dental hygienist in the local area.
David has his contractors license in Finish Carpentry. He is a self-employed finish carpenter and the owner of Elite Finish Carpentry.
David surprised Suzete at his home, which was decorated with balloons and roses, with a proposal. He spelled out “will you marry me?” in rose petals on the floor. On the other side of the message was David on one knee, a ring and a rose in hand.
Their wedding is planned for April 10 at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Turlock. After the wedding they plan to honeymoon in Jamaica at Sandals Resort for seven days. David completely remodeled their future residence in Turlock, and it will be ready for them to move into after the wedding.
