Armed robbers target Delhi taco truck

POSTED March 9, 2010 11:47 p.m.
A woman working at a Delhi taco truck was robbed at gunpoint Monday night by three masked men.
One of the suspects struck the woman during the robbery, Merced County Sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Tom MacKenzie said.
The three men rushed into the mobile taco trailer around 11 p.m. and demanded all the money in the register.
The three men were all speaking English and the 26-year-old victim speaks Spanish, so when she hesitated, one of the suspects slapped her in the back of the head and told her to hurry up, MacKenzie said.
As she was gathering up the money, one of the men pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at her, MacKenzie said.
All three suspects then left the trailer on foot in an unknown direction after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and personal affects from the victim.
The suspects are described as all being Latino, all in their early 20s, wearing dark clothing and black ski masks.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Merced Sheriff’s Office at 385-7444.
