Mayor Gary Soiseth dropped by a special pajama party story time at the Turlock Library on Monday. The Mayor read  Bob Shea's "Dinosaur vs. Bedtime" to the preschoolers, who looked ready for bed.

"We are in the business of fostering a love of reading, but it is so nice to have someone in the community come and help us with our work," said Turlock Library Branch Supervisor Diane Bartlett at Tuesday's Turlock City Council meeting.

The Turlock Library offers a 30-minute preschool story time at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. every Thursday. The story time includes new and classic picture books, flannelboard and puppet stories, fingerplays, music and dancing, all for preschoolers aged 3-5 and their caregivers.

The Turlock Library also offers a Wiggle Worms class at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. every Wednesday for babies, active toddlers and their caregivers. This special program includes storybooks, lap bounces, music, dancing, rhythm activities and fingerplays.

The Turlock Library is located at 550 Minaret Ave. For more information about Turlock Library events and classes, visit www.stanislauslibrary.org or call 664-8100.
