Bryan Brigham

POSTED March 17, 2017 9:20 p.m.

Bryan Brigham, more lovingly known as Buster to most, and Grandad to the lucky ones, passed away at the age of 78, on March 14, 2017 in Atwater California. Buster passed from complications of life, and was preceded by his beloved wife Sylvia Brigham, his granddaughter Jaqualine Brigham, and his two brothers Bazil and Barry. Buster lived a long and very adventurous life in which he traveled the world. Whether it was boxing for money in boarding school, or deep sea diving in the Gulf of Mexico on oil rigs, Buster always seemed to be attracted to the thrill of adventure. Buster met Silvia when they were only in Kindergarten, fell in love by the age of 16 and got married by the age of 22. They had their first child, John Brigham, when they were 24 years old, and together, the 3 of them traveled all over the world chasing their jobs, dreams, and opportunities. During this time, he was in the Rhodesian Reconnaissance, a copper miner, and a deep-sea diver in the Gulf of Mexico. Just before his second son Michael was born, Buster decided that deep sea diving was too dangerous for him and became a pilot in the Continental Air Services during the Vietnam war. Within the next 2 years, Buster and Silvia welcomed their second son, Michael, at Third Field Hospital in Saigon, Vietnam. After living in dangerous war conditions, the family of four relocated, looking for a more stable environment, shortly later giving birth to their third and final son Karry, in Singapore. The Brigham Family then made their way to the United States, their final destination, where they temporarily stayed with their lifelong friends Dave and Naila Lampard. In 1976, Buster and his family moved to Atwater, California where he tried and failed to be a Used Car Salesman. He Farmed tomatoes with the Maglotti Family till Mac passed. It was then that he contacted Al Bettencourt and started the flying service that is still ran by the Brigham Family to this day. He is survived by his three sons and their wives; John and his wife Robyn, Michael and his wife Mary, and Karry and his wife Regina. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Central Presbyterian church in Merced, California at 1920 Canal St. with a reception to follow.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” – Deuteronomy 31:6
