Visitation for Laureano Agueda, 71, of Hilmar, will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 9 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel in Turlock. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. July 9, also at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias. A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 10 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 2602 S. Walnut Ave., Turlock. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
Laureano Agueda was born in Topo, Sao Jorge, Azores and died in Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. He was dairy milker for 36 years and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar and attended Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock.
He is survived by sons, Clemento Manuel Alves of Gustine, Carlos Agueda of Turlock and Tony Agueda of Manteca; daughter, Laureana A. Agueda of Hilmar; brothers, Adelino Agueda of Hilmar, Salvador Agueda of Stevinson, Luis Agueda of Merced and Julio Agueda of Sao Jorge, Azores; sisters, Olgaria Silva of Sao Jorge, Azores, Albertina Agueda of San Jose, Linda Agueda of San Jose and Trindade Oliveira of Hilmar; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by brother, Moises Agueda.
Services under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
