Joe Lemos, 79, of Turlock, died April 13 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 3 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. Rosary and Mass are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 20263 American Ave., Hilmar. Burial will be at North Hilmar Cemetery.
Joe was a line worker for 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock and P.F.S.A. Fraternal Council #61 of Turlock (Formerly U.P.E.C.). He enjoyed raising goats and calves and cutting lawns for neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his son, Joe Lemos Jr. and his wife, Marlene, of Turlock; grandchild, Lyndsie Lemos; and great grandchild, Austin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delfina Lemos on Aug. 30, 2007.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias.
