Eventually, Doice began his own service station business in the small town of Kerman, but after a few years he announced his calling of full-time ministry. He pastored his first church in Sanger. Doice continued his 50-year ministry until his retirement in 2005. He found a home in Turlock and pastored the Free Will Baptist Church for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deanna; children, Terry McAlister of Merced and Vicki McWells of Hilmar; brothers, Lonnie McAlister of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Jerrel McAlister of Turlock; and sister, Barbara Dobbert of Stokedale, N.C. He also was proud to have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 3 at Allen Mortuary. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4 at the Turlock Free Will Baptist Church, with committal to follow at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
