Grady Baker, 85, of Denair, passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Saturday, May 8. He was born in Panama, Okla. to Jasper and Nora Baker in 1924. Grady was raised in Oklahoma, and at the age of 19, he moved to Dos Palos. He lived in the Merced/Dos Palos area until he settled in Denair in 1981. In his younger years, he was a bartender. For 50 years, Grady was a cowboy. He managed Ken Morrison Ranch in Denair for many years. He enjoyed horses and rodeos. Most of all, he loved his family.
Grady is survived by his daughter, Sandy Sanguinetti and her husband, Allen, of Denair; siblings, Dona Drake, Orville Baker, Grover Baker, Bill Baker and Elnore Anderson; grandchildren, Robert Sanguinetti, Shari Sanguinetti and Chad Sanguinetti; and great grandchild, Jayden Reese. Grady was preceded in death by wife, Cathy Baker.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 13 at Allen Mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 14 at Dos Palos Cemetery. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
