December 1925 — May 2010

Frank Eugene Hardester

POSTED May 26, 2010 9:50 a.m.
Frank Hardester, 84, of Turlock, passed away at home on May 21. He was born in Stockton to William and Clara Hardester in 1925. Frank served in the Army during WWII. At the age of 26, Frank accepted Jesus Christ into his life and from that point on, he lived for Him. With Delpha, his loving wife of 62 years by his side, Frank served the Lord faithfully. He taught Sunday school, chaperoned young people on a variety of outings, and led groups of people on trips around the world. To serve God in a full-time capacity was Frank’s lifelong dream that came true when he accepted a staff position at Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock as the administrative pastor. His wife was the great love of his life, and he loved his children and their spouses deeply. His grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren brought him great joy and every one of them was his favorite. Frank was a humble and simple man, but he touched many, many lives. All who knew him knew he was a man of uncompromised faithfulness to God and his family. Frank’s home-going has left a void in this world, but his wife, family and friends are comforted in knowing that he is with Jesus now, the One who saved him, the One he lived for.
Frank is survived by his wife of 62 years, Delpha; children, Peter Hardester and Kirsten Manson, both of San Jose, Dale Hardester of Folsom, Gale “Woody” Hardester of Bloomingdale, Ill. and JoEllen LeBlanc of Ripon; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at Covenant Village in Berg Hall. Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Association of Northern CA, 900 Fulton Ave., Sacramento, CA 95825-4516 or Covenant Village Benevolent Fund, 2125 N.
