Katherine was born on Aug. 28, 1919 in Sacramento, the beloved daughter of Hubert and Bertha Tregallas. She was married to her husband, Fred, for 56 years. She was a busy housewife, rearing and caring for three children. After her children were raised, she was a very efficient secretary for the Methodist Church District Pastor. She was always very active in her church, Centenary United Methodist.
Katherine’s family and friends will miss her servant heart and fun-loving spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Nicolai; and son, James Nicolai. She is survived by Robert Nicolai of Colorado, Nanci Allard of Turlock, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27 at Centenary United Methodist Church, 1911 Toyon Ave., Modesto.
