Dorothy Merritt, 85, of Turlock, passed away at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Aug. 21. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Dorothy lived in the Turlock/Modesto area most of her life. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church and the Salvation Army Turlock Corps. She enjoyed traveling, camping and nature. Dorothy will be missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, John Joseph and Rick Joseph, both of Hayward; and grandson, Dustin Joseph of Seattle, Wash.
Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 at Salvation Army Corps Chapel.
