Adam passed away peacefully Monday morning after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born in the small town of Zgorzelec in southwestern Poland and raised in Warsaw, Adam came to the U.S. at the early age of 18.

After living with relatives and working in Chicago for a year, he was able to bring his family to the U.S. Adam moved to California in 1969, and was stationed at Fort Ord Army base in Monterey where he served for two years. Monterey was the place he met Diana Saldana Chojczak, his loving wife of 39 years.

Adam studied Russian in the masters program at the Monterey Institute of Languages. In 1978 he moved to Turlock with his wife and children. Adam embarked on his profession of education in Turlock where he taught Math and Social Studies primarily in Spanish at Turlock Junior High for 11 years.

Throughout his life, Adam enjoyed reading and deepening his knowledge of U.S. History, World History, Archeology, Paleontology, Anthropology, and all genres of fiction. He was a member of the Polonus Philatelic Society.

Spending time with his two grandchildren, Isaac and Salina, was the delight in Adam's life. He was a loving and caring person and was devoted to his wife and family.
