With clubs representing five different nations and nine states during a three-day tournament, the Turlock FC Fire Elite U-17 boys soccer team proved its worth by making it all the way to the finals. But it was there that Turlock’s hot streak ended, suffering a 3-1 loss to home team Las Vegas Surf 94 in the Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup 2011 tournament during the weekend of Feb. 19-21. Turlock was one of 32 teams.
