Tim Lohman officially became Turlock’s newest fire chief during a ceremony at the City Council meeting Tuesday night.
Lohman started his career with the Turlock Fire Department as an 18-year-old volunteer and over the years worked his way up the ladder. He has been serving as the interim fire chief since July 1, 2010.
A wide range of family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers attended the ceremony to show their support for Lohman, who said he was “humbled and honored” by the turnout.
