Pitman shoot-out

Pitman High hosted its 12th annual basketball shoot-out tournament on Saturday at Pitman High with 16 local schools participating from the San Joaquin area from as far south as Merced and as far north as Manteca. Pitman, Turlock, and Delhi High were among the competitors.

Rockies claim championship

After a first round bye, the Turlock National Little League Majors champion Rockies dominated the Mariposa Reds, 13-1, at Soderquist field on Thursday to advance to the championship game of the Tournament of Champions.

Seadogs take Oakdale Invite

It was a blistering hot day last Saturday with temperatures reaching well over the triple digit mark in the Valley as the Turlock Seadogs placed first in the Oakdale Invitational with a score of 1,575, while the second place Ripon squad trailed by over 100 points. It is the second time this season that the Seadogs have won an invitational.
