Ethel Mae Jones, 94, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, August 25, 2017, at her home. She was the widow of William Lee Jones. They shared 56 years together before his passing in 1997.

Mandatory commercial and organics recycling required for many businesses in Turlock

Businesses in Turlock who generate four cubic yards of waste per week, are required to have both a recycling and organics recycling program to separate and properly dispose of such materials. Businesses who have a self-haul program for recyclables must inform the Municipal Services Department by filling out a questionnaire, which is available on the City's website at www.CityofTurlock.org or at 156 S. Broadway, Ste. 270. To start organics recycling service, businesses should contact Turlock Scavenger at (209) 668-7274.

Rick was born in 1961 to Kenneth and Patricia Hall and passed away at the age of 56 after a long illness. He graduated from Denair High School in 1978 and served as a medic and drill sergeant in the US Army from 1981-1984. Dorothy Louise Pruett

Dorothy L. Pruett 83, of Turlock passed away on Saturday August 19, 2017 at Pacifica Senior Living in Modesto. She was born in Castroville, CA on October 20, 1933. After Dorothy earned her Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies at California State University of Stanislaus she taught Math in Hilmar for 50 years. During her retirement she taught at local continuation schools for many years. She married her husband, Shirley James Pruett in 1954 in San Diego, CA and settled in Hilmar in 1969.
