Juanita Marie Blair, beloved mother to ten wonderful children, went to be with the Lord the day after Christmas. Born in Wolverton, Oklahoma in the fall of 1934, Juanita grew up with five brothers.

Richard Dula

Richard Dula died peacefully, surrounded by family, following a long illness. He was 80. Richard attended Turlock High School, lettering in football and graduating in 1955. He married Nadene Rowland in 1957 and they had two children, Rick Dean Dula and Jay Alan Dula. Though they eventually divorced, Richard and Nadene remained lifelong friends until her death in 2010. LaVerne Theresia Mord Nelson, born May 30, 1919, had the distinction of being the first baby girl born in Hilmar and was the 4th child of Charles and Agnes Mord. She passed away at her home in Hughson on December 27 at the age of 98. As a child she attended Hilmar Covenant Church and Hilmar schools. James Stewart Pierce, age 85, passed away peacefully at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson on December 22. He is the beloved father of Susan Fowle, Steven Pierce, Timothy Pierce, and Tamara McCorkle all of Turlock/Denair. He has six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and four great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Norman Pierce of Waterloo, Iowa. Geraldine Lynn, known as Geri, 63, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, December 20. Geri was born in July of 1954 in Turlock to Jerial and Elsie Olson. She was named after her father and was the youngest of five children, Esther, Edith, and Bonnie, and Clifford. He worked for Park-In-Market in Turlock for several years before opening up Budget Grocery in Modesto. Warren "Bud" Nelson, 94, lived a long life and went to be with Jesus on Christmas Day. Born in Wilmar, Minnesota at home in 1923, Bud was the youngest of 4 children.
