City Council adopts two-year budget in 4-1 vote

Mayor Gary Soiseth's recommended budget was adopted by the Turlock City Council in a 4-1 vote Tuesday evening. Council member Steven Nascimento cast the lone dissenting vote after stating concerns over what he felt was excessive spending in the Mayor's proposal.

Fate of former homeless center building still unknown

Since the Turlock Gospel Mission moved its Homeless Assistance Ministry out of the City of Turlock owned property at 1030 East Ave. last fall, the building has seen little activity. In the past, the building formerly known as the Youth Center was the site of a variety of recreation activities before been leased to the gospel mission.
