THS students return from trip to Germany

What started out as curiosity for Turlock High School student Elisha Coleman resulted in the trip of a lifetime when he and 13 other THS students embarked on a journey across the globe to Germany this summer, attending classes, sightseeing and forming new friendships.

Local Korean War veterans celebrate 50 years together

Sixty-six years ago, American troops were fighting on Korean soil as they came to the aid of South Korea in the Korean War. Today, those who served in the 1950's era war are able to unite and connect through the Korean War Veterans Association, and local veterans meet as part of the War Dogs Chapter 203.

Turlock celebrates independence with annual parade, car show

Nearly 12,000 community members lined Main Street in Turlock on Monday as the city celebrated the nation's birthday with its annual Fourth of July Downtown Parade. Visitors saw a number of new sights in Turlock for the holiday, including the first time that a Stanislaus State president has participated in the parade and the revival of the car show.
