New skate park 'finally' open

Nearly a year after it was announced that the Brandon Koch Memorial Skate Park would relocate from Starr Avenue to Donelly Park, the revamped skaters' paradise opened to the public Friday afternoon. An upwards of 60 children, teens and adults took their wheels to the pavement in celebration of a new place to skate, and they weren't disappointed.

Little Lights Preschool readies for fall opening

One of Turlock First United Methodist Church's core values has always been caring for the community's children, whether it be through their nursery care, Sunday School program or Junior and Senior High Fellowship Groups. Now, the church is adding another feature for the youth of Turlock with the development of Little Lights Preschool, an extension of the church's educational and outreach ministries shared through a preschool curriculum.

Louise Marchant Gymnasium unveiled

Family, friends and many others who were touched by the legacy of Louise Marchant gathered outside the newly-renovated girls' gym at Turlock High School Saturday morning, eager to see the unveiling of its new name: the Louise Marchant Gymnasium. A special dedication ceremony was held, formally naming the campus' renovated building after a former Bulldog who truly bled blue and gold.
