New groundwater regulations topic of grower meetings

Osborn folklorico dancers perform at Gallo

Festa Espirito Santo: 100 years of Azorean tradition

First ever Spanish spelling bee tests local students’ knowledge

Bilingual education reached new heights on Monday when students throughout the Central Valley competed at the First Annual Central Valley Dual Language Consortium at California State University, Stanislaus. Dutcher Middle School, Walnut Grove, Hilmar, and Livingston Elementary were among the 14 schools, ranging from fourth through eighth graders, to compete for the top three places.

Hundreds flock to area job fair

The weather is heating up and so is the job market. Hundreds of unemployed people stood in line for over an hour outside the Clarion Hotel Conference Center for Modesto's HIREvent on Tuesday for the opportunity to find employment with companies looking to hire.
