Holiday parade to light up downtown

Christmas in Turlock is all about the parade. The 34th Annual Turlock Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Turlock Firefighters Local and the Turlock Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7. The parade's theme this year is a "California Christmas."

Santa coming to town on vintage fire truck

Every December members of Turlock Fire Incorporated and their families volunteer to drive Santa around town on a vintage 1955 fire engine spreading holiday cheer through the neighborhoods of Turlock.

Santa star of holiday stamps

St. Nick begins navigating the nation's mail stream today to the tune of 750 million Santa and Sleigh Forever stamps. The stamp art was inspired by the 1823 poem by Clement C. Moore, "A Visit from St. Nicholas," also known as "The Night Before Christmas" or "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."

Community unites for Turlock Together

For 17 years, Turlock Together has embodied "goodwill towards mankind" during the holiday season. The organization's efforts continue this year, as the iconic blue barrels used to collect toys and non-perishable food items for low-income families have already been dispatched around town.
