Victoria went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 18. She was born in Turlock to parents, Edward and Marie Johnson, in 1913. In 1931, she left Turlock and graduated from San Francisco State University in 1948. She taught school for 30 years in Oakland.

Charles "Chuck" McKibbin

Chuck McKibbin, 74, of Turlock, passed away earlier this month. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957. He later married Betty, and together they settled in Turlock in 1973. He worked as the manager of Grants Market and Benos in Turlock and owned a bait and tackle shop before working in real estate. He was a member of the Lions Club, Bass Club, CFC Rodeo and the Turlock Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the board of directors for a time. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.

Richard “Dick” Brown

Richard "Dick" Albert Brown, 74, passed away Dec. 10 at Emanuel Medical Center. He was born January 1935 to Raymond and Hallie (Nutcher) Brown in Turlock. He was raised in Escalon and later in Hughson. After he attended Modesto Junior College, he served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Mr. Brown worked as a salesman for KTUR radio station in Turlock before becoming a police officer for the Modesto Police Department.

Perry Allen Raleigh

Perry Allen Raleigh was born at Emanuel Hospital on April 28, 1935, and raised at 1401 East Ave. in Turlock. He attended Turlock High School and graduated in 1953. He was married to Marie Duhm on July 10, 1955. On Nov. 20, 1956, he joined the United States Air Force. His service took him and his family all over the United States and Europe. Bill Green

Bill Green passed away in Marysville, Washington after a long battle with Cancer. Completing his Vietnam tour with the United States Army in 1969, he began a 30 year career in the electronics distribution industry. His work took him to Michigan, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and California. He spent 12 years in Turlock. Violet was born in Idaho Falls, ID and moved to Arkansas as an infant where she spent her childhood before settling in California at the age of 13. Kevin Richard Stach

Kevin Richard Stach, 75, of Turlock, passed away at his home on April 12, 2105. He was born July 4, 1939 in Nezperce, Idaho. After graduating from high school in Olympia, Washington he came to California and worked at the General Motors plant in Fairfield. When the plant closed and moved to Missouri he relocated there and finished his career with GM. After retiring Mr. Stach moved to Turlock. Kevin was a dune buggy enthusiast and loved working on Volkswagens. He volunteered at the Turlock V.F.W. and enjoyed cooking for their dinners and events.

Barbara Lundell Strom

Barbara was born on the Lundell homestead in May 1919, to Henry and Lydia Lundell. She and her three brothers, Kenneth, Jerry and Glenn grew up on the ranch, riding in horse and buggies to and from school and church. They also formed a small band, since music was such an important part of their youth.
