Jo Ann Lucy Gomes passed away on Monday evening at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., with visitation and services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Linda J. Cederwall, 56, passed away on Thursday morning after a battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her husband, daughter and family. Mark Maggard, 51, passed away at his home in Mountain Home, Idaho. A memorial service was held at The Rock in Mountain Home, on Oct. 6, 2009. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home, Idaho.
Bernadine Louise Lane, 84, of Oakdale, died Oct. 2, 2009, at Oak Valley Hospital. Her last day she enjoyed spending time with family and friends before she peacefully passed away in her sleep.

A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Oct. 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., Patterson. A mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Oct. 8, at the same location. Burial will be at Patterson District Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jesus Tapia, and three children: Jose M. (Sophia) Chavez of Turlock, Rosa (Juan Pablo) Vallejo of Turlock, and Jesus Ventura (Josefa Sanchez) of Turlock; 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 7 grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Mary Lois Bare, 91, of Hilmar, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Mary Lois was born in Arkansas to Julius and Thelma Wegel. She attended schools in Arkansas. After High School graduation she married Charles Bare, a Seaman with the Merchant Marine. They settled in California, first in the Bay Area and then in the Central Valley in 1968. They were married nearly 62 years when he passed away in 2005.
Rodrigo Jose Ortegaray beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with Jesus this past Monday. Rodrigo was born in Managua, Nicaragua to Gustavo and Maria Ortegaray in August of 1954
She is survived by her sisters Loretta (Larry) Soares of Hilmar, Lorraine Vierra of Hilmar and Jeannie (Rick) Gonsalves of Stevinson; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bobbie Cheves, 87, of Turlock passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015. Bobbie was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. When she was young, her family moved to Pittsburg, CA. As a senior in high school, Bobbie moved to Modesto where she graduated from Modesto High School. She married Gene in 1947 and they raised their family in Ceres, CA. After retiring from the Telephone Company, Bobbie and Gene enjoyed traveling and line dancing. She spent the last several years of her life in Turlock, CA. Pete Stavrianoudakis, passed away last Saturday at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1936 to Pantelis and Maria Stavrianoudakis. He was a lifelong resident of Hilmar, where he attended grammar school and graduated from Hilmar High School. Pete was a farmer in Hilmar for most of his life and was involved with several community organizations including, Hilmar FFA, Valley Tractor Pullers Association, Hilmar Footbal Boosters and was a member of the Hilmar Lions Club since 1968. He was also a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Modesto.
