Jean Annette Weeks, 88, died Feb. 23 in Turlock. She was born March 27, 1921 in Los Angeles to Mike and Charlotte Zerneno. Jean lived in El Cerrito, San Pablo, Terry Hills and in Suisun, before she settled in Turlock six years ago. She enjoyed sewing and doll collecting.
Alfred Baptista was born on Oct. 12, 1918 in Hughson. When he was six months old, his parents, John and Ana Baptista, moved the family approximately a half mile to 4855 Aldrich Road, where Alfred spent nearly all of his remaining years, dying there on Sunday, Feb. 21 surrounded by many family members.
Harriette Johnson, 88, of Turlock passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21 in Modesto. She was born in Buhl, Idaho to Thomas and Alta Holmes in 1921. Harriette attended Colorado Women's College in Denver, Colo. and worked for the U.S. Navy Convalescent Hospital in Kethum, Idaho. She met Alfred Grimes there and in 1944, they moved to Lodi, Calif. In 1950, she moved to Turlock and lived in the area since that time. She was married to Algott Johnson in 1962. He passed away in 1987. A memorial service for Helen Walters, 92, of Modesto, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Hilmar Covenant Church, 20056 W. American Ave., Hilmar. It will be officiated by Pastor Bruce Metcalf. Burial will be private.

Daniela Alejandra Ramirez, 13, was granted her angel wings on Feb. 20, 2010. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who Daniela had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life. She was born in Mexico and lived in Turlock and then Patterson, before she settled in Ceres in 2007. She enjoyed music and attending school.
Fred Haney, 67, passed away Feb. 16, 2010, at U.C.S.F. in San Francisco. He was born December 1942 in Oakland to Mack and Juanita Haney. He moved to Modesto in 1963, before he settled in Turlock. He was a glazier for 33 years. He belonged to Glazier Union Local and Moose Lodge #1679. His interests included his grandchildren, hot rods, dune buggies and boating.
Cliff McBeath, 88, of Turlock, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Lady, on Tuesday, Feb. 16. He was born in Humboldt, Kansas to James and Elsie McBeath. He lived most of his adult life in California. He lived and worked in San Bernardino for years as a carpenter. Cliff retired in 1982, after working as the head of maintenance for the California State Dept of Agriculture at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds for 27 years.
