Garegori Dirro, 77 of Modesto, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto. He was born in Russia to Mikhail and Laya in 1932. In 2006, he settled in Turlock. Garegori was a member of the Church of the East Mar Addai. Family and God were his life.

Billy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Harvey and Lillian Mills and passed away after a sudden illness at the age of 86. He was the second of three children. His family settled in Hughson and Billy graduated from Hughson High School and excelled in basketball and baseball. He attended Roselawn School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1951. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician and was the DJ on board the destroyer U.S.S. McKean. Helen C. Smith, age 97, of Hughson, California passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Samaritan Village. She was born November 8, 1917 in Jamestown, Rhode Island to Daniel and Margaret Murray. She graduated High School from Newport High School in Rhode Island before receiving her Bachelors Degree. She married Irving E. Smith November 9, 1942 in New York City. She was a Pediatric Nurse for 35 years. They lived in New York City, Long Island, and San Diego before settling in Hughson twelve years ago. Helen enjoyed golfing, ballroom dancing, and bridge.

Mom was born in September of 1915 in Oakland, Nebraska, the 3rd of 5 children born to John and Ebba Nelson.
