Cindy is survived by nephew Kevin Shute; nieces Becky Mcevoy and Nellie Shute; 8 great nieces and nephews; 17 great great-nieces and nephews. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Lois Brownlow; sister Penny Irene Shute and niece Lisa Sears.
Barbara was born on the Lundell homestead in May 1919, to Henry and Lydia Lundell. She and her three brothers, Kenneth, Jerry and Glenn grew up on the ranch, riding in horse and buggies to and from school and church. They also formed a small band, since music was such an important part of their youth.
Sadie outlived her two husbands Orville Lee and Boyd Butler, her son Jerry, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Ruthann Sisk of Denair, son Gary (Charlene) Lee of No. Highlands, CA, step-son Glenn (Hui Yop) Butler, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great-grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Archie Graham of Delhi; two sons, Jim (Jeanne) Graham of Paradise and Jerry Graham of Delhi, CA; three siblings, Dolores West and Dale West both of Delhi, and James West of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and six grandchildren, Justin Graham, Kendall Graham, Kylie Graham, Brooklyn Graham, Jade Shadrick, and Amanda Graham.
Elfie Maddox, Turlock resident, passed away at the age 95. She is survived by her daughter Linda (John) Kleiber of Tracy; grandchildren Jennifer (Tripp) Torchia and Brian (Jennifer) Kleiber; one great grandchild Victoria and caregiver Marsha Barkhousen.. She is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Emma Larson; husband Willmer Maddox; son Darol Maddox and sister Ruby Frost.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and by a granddaughter, Robin Boyd, in 2011. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, James D. Ross Jr. of Hughson; children: Sharon (Duane) Meier of Truckee CA, Elizabeth (Dennis) Jones of Denair, and James (Claudia) Ross of Turlock, 7 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Earl Johnson, 89, of Turlock, passed away at Paramount Court after an extended illness. Earl was born in Irwin City to Axel and Esther Johnson. He grew up in Hilmar and attended both Hilmar and Turlock schools. In Turlock he was a part of the famous class of '44. He completed his studies while in the Marine Corps. His military service was at the end of World War II.
Jessica was born and raised in San Jose California and moved to Stanislaus County, Turlock California in 1997. She is survived by her three children Petrita Gomez, Reggie Gomez , Davina Hernandez.; siblings Patrick G. Ledbetter Jr, Benjamin Gaddis, Charlie Hoey Jr, Jaime Barrera Jr., Miguel Jr., Adrian and Juanita Reyes. Jessica was preceded in death by her parent Petrita Reyes (Oriol). ; Grandparents Martha Romero and Felix Oriol.
Lois is survived by her daughter Cindy Lou Brownlow; 3 grandchildren Kevin Shute, Becky Mcevoy and Nellie Shute; 8 great-grandchildren and 17 great great-grandchildren. Thomas is survived by his parents, his fiance, 3 children: Joshua, Thomas, and Jordan Devine, 4 step-daughters: Hayley, Savannah, Kayla, and Madilynn; siblings: Brandy Devine, Nicole French, and Angel Standridge, and step-father Daniel Morad.
Donald Leon Swanson crossed the threshold to Heaven on May 14th, 2015 at the age of 91. Don was born on September 17th, 1923 to Warner and Vera Swanson, pioneers of the Youngstown Colony of Swedish immigrants in Turlock, settling on Swanson Road in Delhi.
Edward Roy Munroe, 84, of Turlock, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at English Oaks Convalescent in Modesto. He grew up in Delhi, CA and after he graduated from Livingston High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. He settled in Turlock in 1993.
Alma Chambers was born in Jefferson City, Missouri to the daughter of Louis and Marie (Renterghem) Loethen. She moved to Turlock where she graduated from THS in 1958 and married fellow grad, Ronald Chambers, on July 24, 1960 at Sacred Heart Church. Alma spent many years as a legal secretary before retiring from the Attorney General's Office in Missouri. She owned Alma's Ceramics in downtown Turlock. Nancy Middleton Thompson, beloved wife, mother, and teacher, died in Modesto, California, on May 7, 2015. Family, faith, and a commitment to nurturing future generations were the pillars upon which Nancy built a life of love and service. Nancy was devoted to an extended family with deep roots in the Midwest.
